C.DESIGN is a swimwear line originally founded in 1993 on the coastal borders of Western Australia, by the ex-model and ballerina Claire Metcalf and her husband Gavin Eddy. For 10 years the duo made waves in high-end fashion, with C.DESIGN featuring in Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Collezioni Italy, Elle, W Magazine, Oyster, Worth Global Style Network, Wallpaper, Australian Style and Womens Wear Daily.
In the early 2000s, Claire and Gav boxed the last of their bikinis samples, sewing machines and loose threads, to turn late nights of needlework into raising their three children, Tia, Taj and Sienna.
Now, 20 years later, the family of 5 bring to you C.DESIGN (again) ... re-inventing Claire’s authentic, sculptural and classic styles with a modern conscience. Designed in Australia using the original patterns, the pieces are sustainably and ethically made from Italian ECONYL, a recycled fiber made from fishing nets and bottles. We sell in small, limited drops exclusively online until they’re gone. With a modernized approach to manufacturing, we believe there is nothing more sustainable than something that lasts a lifetime.
